Re: NOV 19th CACOPHONY - LAST MINUTE SPACE CHANGE
nkondi (1st set) - was total crap...not enough volume and so i really didnt feel it, which was another lesson...DONT GO FIRST NKONDI...and pushed my gear off the table after a very short period of time...maybe around 5-8 min...i cant remember...

dead/bird - never had seen this guy before, though i had met him on a few occasions, real good mid rumble broken synth distortion, nicely crafted...

Sleeping with the Earth - tech and volume issues aside, as great as always...with the throbbing and thumping and distortion...portlands premier pe...

Thys - he came in with a burning ax, and then once that was extinguished, he went over to his gear, broke some glass which was thrown into this upturned speaker and then proceded to produce squelches and blips and very hard thumps that would make the glass pop out of the speaker like a little noise volcano. interesting but a couple minutes too long sound wise...

Redbird - cant-esque no amplification with a slight touch of yau throat work, and alot more screaming. interesting break in amongst all the amplified stuff, kind of an intermission...

(intermission)

Sisprum Vish - played solo and then with some blond with war paint on. improvement over the last time i saw him...alot more harsh and squelch...

INRI - so the only other time ive seen him, he couldnt do his whole set i think...this one was good, it made me want to go home and listen to that disc he gave me at the eugene fest...

The Future is Dust - quick to the point and very minimal set up rumble rumble rumble. at first i thought it was just a little chord feedback, but then i realized he was going at it. good control and nicely subdued...a good follow up to INRI (split in the works between the two? just a suggestion)

nkondi (2nd set) - feeling i was owed a little more volume, i went with something that i havent tried live ever, so ill let others be the judge of that. lets say at the end i was channelling a little emil...

Disjunct - ryan should get a louder amp, cause he was getting a little drowned out at points by ogo, and i dont think that was intentional. aside from that theyre a good unit as a whole, and hopefully we can do something projection wise for their video work come noise fest...

Suicidal Tendons - turned into the sunken feat. idx1274...yelling and noise mayhem ensued ala the usual sunken moments, with a nice end breakdown of just yelling and clapping rhythmically...this shit just gets better and better...

i think idx decided to go solo after that, but i had to go cause my ride was tired and hungry...

no merch sales...but the space wasnt very big...and i didnt advertise...cause at this point i dont care right now...
popfailure will be out after i return from san diego this next weekend...hopefully..
